Registration Now Open for January 25th Season Opener at Kevin Harvick’s Kern Raceway
January 1, 2025 – Registration is now open for the highly anticipated January 25th Season Opener at Kevin Harvick’s Kern Raceway, kicking off the 2025 season for SPEARS CARS Tour West Super Late Models, SPEARS CARS Tour West Limited Pro Late Models, and MMI Legends Tour West Presented by Frank's Radio. Competitors can now use the Pit Pay App to register for annual licenses, full-season pit passes, race entries, and event-specific items, offering a streamlined, all-in-one solution for racing needs.
The Pit Pay App doesn’t just simplify registration; it also speeds up the arrival process at events by allowing competitors to complete all necessary paperwork and purchases in advance.
Getting Started with the Pit Pay App
To begin, competitors should:
- Download the App: Available on the Apple App Store and Google Play.
- Sign Up:
o Enter a mobile number and verify it via text.
o Scan a government-issued ID or passport to verify age and identity.
o Provide a unique email address and accept terms of service. - Set Up Your Profile: Customize the app by favoriting tracks and series, such as SPEARS CARS Tour West Super Late Models, SPEARS CARS Tour West Limited Pro Late Models, and MMI Legends Tour West Presented by Frank's Radio, to make navigation easier.
Competitors must have a smartphone with iOS 11.3 or Android 6.0.1 (or later), a scannable government-issued ID or passport, and unique mobile and email addresses for account setup.
Annual Registration Options
Annual registration is available through the "Series" page in the Pit Pay App. Competitors in SPEARS CARS Tour West Super Late Models, SPEARS CARS Tour West Limited Pro Late Models, and MMI Legends Tour West Presented by Frank's Radio can purchase the following:
• Licenses: All drivers and owners in the Super Late, Pro Late, and Limited Pro Late divisions are required to have a 2025 CARS Tour West License.
• Full-Season Entries: Secure entry for all scheduled events in 2025.
• Season-Long Pit Passes: Purchase once to avoid buying pit passes for each event.
While the SPEARS CARS Tour West Pro Late Models are not scheduled for the January 25th event, competitors in this division are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the Pit Pay App, as registration for the 2025 season will be open in the coming weeks and will follow the same processes.
Event-Specific Registration for January 25th
For competitors registering on a per-event basis, the app provides quick access to all necessary items for the season opener:
- Find the Event: Navigate to January 25th under the "Series" page.
- Single-Event Race Entry: Purchase a race entry if you haven’t opted for a full-season entry.
- Individual Pit Passes: Secure pit passes for team members without a season-long pass.
- Additional Items: Add test fees or other applicable charges as needed.
Completing these steps in advance means faster check-in on race day, allowing competitors to focus on preparing for the action on the track. Passes and entries will appear in the “Passes” section of the app, ready to be scanned upon arrival. Parents or guardians managing minors can complete waivers and consent forms electronically, including obtaining secondary signatures if required.
About the January 25th Season Opener
The season opener at Kevin Harvick’s Kern Raceway will feature thrilling short-track action from the SPEARS CARS Tour West Super Late Models, SPEARS CARS Tour West Limited Pro Late Models, and MMI Legends Tour West Presented by Frank's Radio.
Adding to the excitement, Kevin Harvick himself will be competing in the SPEARS CARS Tour West Super Late Models, marking his return to racing at the track named in his honor. The event will also feature the ARCA Menards Series West, providing fans the opportunity to witness the "Best in the West" as top drivers across multiple divisions battle on the short track.
Spectator gates open at 11:00 AM, opening ceremonies at 1:00 PM, followed by the main events.
